Congratulations to ALL Schools
The Times is reporting today on Ofsted's elite list of the most successful schools and colleges in England. They have singled out for praise 24 schools which
were named in the annual list for the third time. These schools were
rated "outstanding" after every Ofsted visit they received. David Bell,
the Chief Inspector of Schools, said that they were "the best of the
best".
Six formerly struggling primary schools in England have made
it onto the annual list of "outstanding" schools. The schools Woodberry Down Community Primary School, in Hackney,
London; Woodhouse Close Junior School, in Bishop Auckland, County
Durham; Kimberley Primary School, Nottinghamshire; Bletchingdon
Parochial Church of England Primary School, Oxfordshire; Broadwater
Church of England First and Middle School, West Sussex; and Mossley
Primary School, Walsall were singled out for specific praise.
Congratulations to all those schools that made it onto the list - and - to all those schools that didn't make it onto the list but worked just as hard, if not harder, all year to help their school improve.
