Skypecast on the SATS

WeblogI'm experimenting a little with some extra features available in Skype.  One is Skypecast, a new community feature from Skype that's currently in "preview." With Skypecasts you can host live, moderated discussions with up to 100 people and all they need is Skype to use it.

I thought that I'd test it out - so if you are interested I've created a SATS Skypecast for Tuesday between 8 and 9pm - see the advert for it on the right hand side.  To join in the discussion you need to have Skype which can be downloaded for free from the website.  The idea of the Skypecast is to be able to discuss online what people have thought about the tests so far, what they think may come up in the reading and maths etc and have a bit of fun as well!

If it's not popular it will disappear never to be seen again!

Awesome. I have't got a mic at the moment, but can I listen in?

Of course. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else joins in. From what I've seen of other Skypecasts I've taken part in there is little uptake at the moment, mainly due to most poeple preferring to use msn.

Still - you don't know unless you try!
