Simpsons - The Return

ResourcesPlease use this link to the original post for the Simpson target cards and individual cards as PDF and Office documents.

Vinny, who emailed me an excellent idea earlier in the week has now emailed me another.

He has taken the original Simpson target cards and photocopied them to create a personalised target book. He explained that the children have the books to fill in each target when they think that they have met it.  This allows the children to work on a target of their choice.  He continued by saying that the children have been completing work at home so that they could mark targets off.

I think that this sounds like an excellent idea.  The fact that the children are in charge of their own targets will allow them to focus their own learning on areas that they are struggling at.  If this works successfully I can't see any need to group targets!

You can download the booklet that Vinny created using the target cards from the link below. You will need to also download the free Akbar font if you want the correct writing. I suggest that by printing 4 to a page you can create a booklet on the photocopier.

Thanks Vinny for the suggestion.

Thanks for the Literacy booklet - I tried to download the Numeracy one too but just got a blank document. Am I doing something wrong please?

Hi Martin,

Not sure what the problem is as it seems to work fine for me. I’ve uploaded them again anyway incase there’s some problem and attached them to this email for you. Hopefully they are as useful to you. I’ve just set them up for a HMI inspection on Tuesday and Wednesday the first week back so I’ll let you know what they think of them.

Thanks very much - they look great - hope the HMI goes well!

Hi Steph,

I've uploaded it again - please try downloading it and let me know if it's working. THanks.
