With OfSTED paying us a visit tomorrow on a Reduced Tariff Inspection I'm a little tight for time to say the least. Posts will resume after the visit! :)

Kingswood Activity Centre

I'll be away at the Kingswood Activity Centre this week with the Year 6 children. Hope you all have a good week. I'll let you know my opinion on it towards the end of next week.

Half-Term

Just to let readers know that I'll be away this week. We're going to have a week camping with our daughter! Have a good break.

Easter Break

I hope that everyone has a good Easter break. I know it's a bit different this year. Some schools have already had a week off, others (like myself) have just broken up for 2 weeks. Some are off for the bank holidays then in for another two weeks before they break up.

Whichever is relevant to you - have a good break and don't eat too many Easter Eggs!

Holidays

Hope that everyone has a great break - I'm out and about during next week so posts from me will be limited. Relax and enjoy the holidays all.

Christmas Time

Once again Christmas is upon us and with my beautiful daughter sharing Christmas with us this year I'm going to be taking a break till the new year.

It's becoming increasingly difficult to keep this blog upto date with my new job and baby. So if, over the Christmas period or in the new year, you feel that you would like to contribute with posts please email me (rossa@primary-teacher-uk.co.uk).

Baby Hannah

My beautiful baby daughter was born on Saturday evening at 9.13 after a very stressful day!  All is well with both mum and baby!  I hope you will excuse the lack of posts this week while things settle down.  Normal service to resume as soon as possible.

End of year performance!

Just got back from out first evening performance of Lights, Camera, Action!  This was really well received by the parents.  The script, which is available from Edgy Productions, is funny and really allows the year 6 to enjoy their acting.  There are a number of other scripts available as well which look equally fun for coming years!

For each script you can see the storyline, view the characters in the performance and listen to extracts from the songs.  For each play you get a CD with all songs (with words and as a backing) and all sound effects.

Well worth the £30.

My exciting news...

As regular readers will know I had some exciting news that I wasn't able to tell you about until a later date.  That later date has now arrived and I'm able to reveal that from September I will be taking up a new job in Manchester as a Deputy Headteacher.

I'm sad to be leaving my present school as I'm very settled there but pleased to be moving back into Manchester as a deputy head in a really dynamic inner city school.

As people keep telling me the end of this year is going to be a bit of a hectic time - new job, new baby and new daddy! :)

Cycling, Internet and hard discs!

Sorry for the lack of posts.  I was away at the weekend completing the next round of the MTB Marathon in Builth Wells.  On returning on Sunday evening my internet connection had decided to fail and didn't return until today!  School server also had 'multiple hard disc failures' on Monday morning - It never rains - it pours!!
